Our Vision
A world where children with cancer, survivors and their families, irrespective of where they are, can readily and easily access affordable, quality care from diagnosis to follow-up support.
CCI in a nutshell
The global voice of childhood cancer
CCI was founded in 1994, as an umbrella organisation of childhood cancer grassroots and national parent organisations to bring visibility and give patients and families a voice at an international level.
Through our 180+ members, we support and represent a total of 600+ childhood cancer organisations across the globe.
To better promote our community’s needs and priorities, we work together with international organisations, policymakers, civil society organisations, health, research and medical professionals.
Among our partners are the WHO and the International Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOP), while we also are a non-state actor in the United Nations.
How we make an impact
To fulfil our purpose and help children and adolescents with cancer across the globe, we engage in various activities and courses of action:
- Advocating for and raising awareness about childhood cancer.
- Strengthening our member organisations through integrated programmes they can launch in their settings.
- Building capacity development programmes for our member organisations.
Organising regional and global conferences to facilitate knowledge sharing and provide training to our members.
The giving2children crowdfunding platform
giving2children is a crowdfunding platform, dedicated to childhood cancer initiatives launched by CCI members.
This is a CCI initiative aiming to:
- Support its members by giving them access to a broader audience.
- Create a dedicated space for individuals who wish to support children and adolescents facing cancer around the world, through impactful Campaigns.
It has been developed and is managed by Childhood Cancer International (CCI), and is sponsored by La Fondation La Roche Posay.
