Start fundraising
Turn your ideas on childhood cancer initiatives into reality through the giving2children crowdfunding platform. Start a fundraising campaign and reach donors across the globe to secure the necessary funds.
Share your story, connect with supporters and achieve your goals in 3 simple steps. Let’s get started!
You first need to create a profile for your childhood cancer organisation. We will ask for a few details to introduce you to potential donors.
Once you submit your profile, we will validate it and upload it on the platform.
Once your profile is all set, you can sign in to your account and submit your projects. You will need to fill out the application form to explain your projects and its impact, set your fundraising goal and provide necessary information.
Once we have confirmed your application details, we sign an agreement. Then your projects appears live on the platform. You can share it on social media, track fundraising progress in real time and keep donors updated on your journey.

Fundraising for Childhood Cancer
Whether you’re raising money for a long-term programme or for a one-off initiative, our platform provides the tools and support your organisation needs to succeed.
giving2children is dedicated to childhood cancer initiatives launched by CCI members. If you are not a member yet, find out how to become a CCI member.
All projects must be related directly to childhood cancer. However, they can cover any kind of need or cause, such as:
Psychosocial support programmes | Educational programmes |
Community events, public awareness campaigns | Basic research |
Financial assistance to cover nutrition, and transport programmes for childhood cancer patients. |
If you are wondering whether your cause could be eligible for the giving2children platform, email us at [email protected].
Creating Your profile
To start fundraising through giving2children, you first need to sign up and create a profile.
You need to fill in some information about your organisation, including name, address, contact details of the chairperson and a short description of what you do.
The giving2children team will then review your profile, and will contact by email the chairperson of your organisation to confirm that you are authorised to open your profile.
Depending on the response time and your CCI membership status, this may take a minimum of 5 days. You might find it useful to remind your chairperson to check their email and confirm the account as soon as possible.
If the profile is submitted by the chairperson, then we will only check your CCI membership status and email you to confirm that the account is approved.
Choosing between flexible or all-or-nothing projects
Depending on what happens if you don’t meet your fundraising goal, you have the option of launching 2 different types of projects:
Flexible – Will you be able to launch part of the project if the fundraising goal is not met by the deadline? Then, your project is flexible. You receive any money raised and launch your project but on a smaller scale. Nutrition packages are such an example of a flexible project, as you can prepare fewer than originally planned.
All-or-nothing – Do you need the entire amount to even consider starting off? Then you have an all-or-nothing project.
If the fundraising goal is not met, all donations will be refunded. Fundraising for a vehicle or a medical device is an example of an all-or-nothing project.
Promoting your project
You are responsible to promote your own projects posted on the crowdfunding platform.
To help you with that, we have developed and will provide you with a Marketing and Promotion Kit.
Also, we will promote the giving2children platform through our digital channels and our partners.
Updating donors on your progress
Keeping donors informed about the impact of their donation is essential to promote transparency and trust.
You will receive updates requests from giving2children and will be invited to share news on the impact achieved, photos, and even testimonials. We do encourage you to be creative and personal in the updates shared, as they are the tool to build a relation with the donor for your future projects.
Also, once your project is completed, you need to submit a final report. This report will summarise and evaluate the results, impact, and achievements of your project. It will include a summary of activities undertaken, photos and testimonials from beneficiaries. CCI and the giving2children team will review the final report, compare it with your original statements and updates, and also provide feedback in case they identify irregularities which could disrupt further use of the platform by your organisation. The final report is not fully published on the platform nor sent to the donor.
